The Peugeot pickup trucks are designed to help the military quickly arrive at any point in the direction of movement of Russian drones or cruise missiles. The vehicles are to be equipped with destruction and detection equipment that will help shoot down Russian air targets at low altitudes. Constant launches of ballistic and cruise missiles, loitering munitions, and air target simulators are depleting the resources of Ukraine's air defense.

Ukraine is capable of using its Soviet-era and Western air defense systems against these targets.
