HIMARS Hits Leer-3 EW System in Zaporizhzhia Region

Military Mykola Kolesnik said that the system was spotted during his reconnaissance of the location of the enemy forces. "[It was] Tightly covered with air defense," mentioned Mykola Kolesnik. The EW system detected and adjusted the fire drone of the LUFTWAFFE unit of the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade.

The American HIMARS rocket launcher scored a direct hit on the position of the invaders with just one round.

The military also noted that at the moment of impact, there were operators in the Russian system who were eliminated. "The target was destroyed, along with the operators," added Mykola Kolesnik. RB-341V Leer-3 is a modern Russian electronic warfare and signal intelligence system specializing in GSM cellular networks.

The Leer-3 system is also equipped with Orlan-10 UAVs with repeaters that, in addition to jamming electronic signals, can establish control over cellular communication.
