Russian targets hit near a military airfield in Dzhankoi

Missiles strike Russian facilities near the invaders' military airfield in Dzhankoi. Powerful strikes near the Crimean airfield blasted on the night of April 17, and a fire broke out. Crimean Wind notes that attack helicopters were based there, and launchers of S-300/S-400 air defense systems were spotted there as well. After that, a section of the Dzhankoi-Feodosia highway near Dzhankoi was temporarily closed to traffic, and a detour was organized.

Sergey Aksyonov, head of the occupation administration, did not comment on the explosions in Dzhankoi at the time of publication.

The Ukrainian military and officials of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine have not yet officially provided any information about the strikes. The Baza Telegram channel, without specifying the source of the information, writes that the airfield in Dzhankoi was probably attacked by missiles. The publication reports that, according to preliminary data, a total of seven or eight missiles were fired at Russian targets, and air defense systems were probably operating near the airfield.

Local residents claim that several loud explosions were heard at once around 4:00 a.m. Immediately afterward, a fire broke out near the local military airfield. The 39th Helicopter Regiment of the 27th Mixed Aviation Division of the 4th Guards Air and Air Defence Forces Army and three aviation squadrons are stationed at the Dzhankoi military air base.
