"But, of course, the supply of the ATACMS system by the US, as well as previous decisions by the UK and France on the supply of long-range cruise missiles, will also be a factor, we hope," the official added.

Ukraine has been asking Germany to provide Taurus missiles with a 500 km range for a long time, but Berlin has refused to do so, fearing an escalation of the conflict. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz intends to stick to his refusal to supply Ukraine with Taurus cruise missiles despite the US Congress' readiness to provide American long-range ATACMS missiles. After that, Jake Sullivan, advisor to the US President for National Security, confirmed that Ukraine had received ATACMS long-range missiles and that the deliveries would continue in the future.
