Presumably, the SAM systems were hit by the long-range firepower of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, possibly by a precision strike from M142 HIMARS, which regularly destroys enemy air defense systems.

S-300V air defense system

The S-300V is an air defense system for the ground forces that started to enter service in 1983 under the name S-300V1. All elements of the SAM are self-propelled and mounted on tracked chassis.

The system is designed to defend important state, military, and industrial facilities, as well as troop groups, against aircraft, ballistic, and tactical missiles using two types of anti-aircraft missiles. As a result of the deep modernization of the S-300V, the Russian Federation has developed the S-300VM Antey-2500 modification, armed with new anti-aircraft guided missiles with an increased range and improved other characteristics.
