Polish border guards and a soldier were wounded in various parts of the Polish border with Belarus. Militarnyi reports on this. On Tuesday, May 28, the Polish Border Guard Service stated that migrants who tried to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border had stabbed a border guard and a Polish soldier.
The agency reported that today, at about 4:30 am, a Polish army serviceman was wounded near the border post in Dubicze Cerkiewne. It is noted that the incident occurred during an attack by a group of about 50 foreigners who threw branches and stones at the Polish patrol. While trying to cross the border by force, one of them injured a Polish soldier.
The victim was then provided first aid. At this time, the migrants continued to behave aggressively, attacking the injured soldier and the border guard who was assisting him.

In addition, shortly before this incident, a border guard was hit with a broken bottle near the Bilovezha checkpoint on the border with Belarus as a result of an attack by migrants. He suffered facial injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Previously, near the border guard post in Dubicze Cerkiewne, a group of 9 foreigners attempted to illegally cross the border, and one of them wounded a border guard in the arm. The attack was carried out with a stick with a knife attached to it. The wounded man was treated in a hospital.
The Polish Border Guard Service said that almost every day, border guards face aggression from migrants trying to cross the Polish-Belarusian border. In recent months, attacks by foreigners on patrols have become more frequent, resulting in four border guards being injured. Official vehicles have also been damaged.
