Ukraine Presents PM-L EOD Vehicle with Mine Protection

Photo credits: "Pozhmashina" company A new PM-L light type EOD vehicle was developed in Ukraine. The vehicle is made for rescuers and assembled on the basis of an Italian multi-purpose vehicle.

The vehicle was presented by the company "Pozhmashina." PM-L will be officially presented at the exhibition "Protection Technologies/Pozhtech," which will be held in Kyiv on May 28-30, 2024. The vehicle is based on the Italian Tekne Graelion 75 multipurpose rover with a 4x4 wheel arrangement.

The EOD vehicle also received mine protection. In addition, a body superstructure with an armored compartment for transporting explosive objects, which is mounted on the chassis, has a folding apparatus and a retractable tray.

PM-L with a length of 6730 mm, a width (without mirrors) of 2040 mm, and a height of 2700 mm has a total weight of 8000 kg. The Tekne Graelion 75 has excellent off-road characteristics. There are portal bridges with wheel reducers that provide a ground clearance of 450 mm.

Suspension is spring-based, with dual shock absorbers. The vehicle is able to overcome climbs of up to 44 degrees, as well as fords up to 800 mm deep (with preparation - 1100 mm).
