Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on the invader’s facility in Luhansk

On the evening of Monday, May 27, explosions blasted out in temporarily occupied Luhansk, and a fire broke out. Militarnyi reports on this. Eyewitnesses among local residents posted videos of the incident online.

Local social media publics also reported on the work of Russian air defense. The so-called head of the occupation authorities of the Luhansk region claimed that Luhansk was struck by missiles with cluster warheads, which caused a fire.

Eyewitnesses reported that rescuers and ambulances were dispatched to the scene. The social network X users published a video of an alleged launch of ATACMS ballistic missiles, allegedly in the direction of Russian-occupied Luhansk. Initially, users online stated that the explosions were heard in the area of the former Higher Military Aviation School of Navigators in Luhansk.

This facility was used by Russians for military purposes after the occupation of the Ukrainian city.

Later, analysts from the Dnipro OSINT discovered from videos and photos on social media that the fire in the temporarily occupied city broke out on the airfield's territory.

It is not yet known exactly what was hit there, but the video posted online shows a large area covered by numerous fire pits.

With the arrival of more ATACMS missiles provided by the United States within military aid to Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine started to conduct regular strikes on the military targets of the Russian invaders in Luhansk.

In particular, late in the evening on May 7, an oil depot used by the invaders was hit.
