Collaborationist and former mayor of Kupiansk dies after attempt on his life

- On 8 June, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported an attempt on Hennadii Matsehora's life in the city of Staryi Oskol in Russia's Belgorod Oblast without specifying the details.
Russian Telegram channels reported that Matsehora had been shot near the house he resided in.
- Mayor of Kupyansk Hennadiy Matsegora, member of the OPFL (Opposition Platform - For Life) party, previously made an agreement with the Russian occupiers on the transfer of power in the city.
- The Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor's Office served the former mayor of Kupiansk with a notice of suspicion of encroachment on territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine by an individual who serves as a government member, and also notified him that he was suspected of state treason.
