Forward air controllers of four Army Aviation Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have received new off-road vehicles. The aid has been provided by the Come Back Alive Foundation. Ukrhidroenergo allocated UAH 12,000,000 to purchase the pickup trucks and the necessary equipment.
The new off-road vehicles, as well as 8 Starlink car kits and additional sets of tires and hardtop canopy, are already helping the ?orward air controllers of the 11th Separate Army Aviation Brigade "Kherson", 12th Army Aviation Brigade, 16th Separate Army Aviation Brigade "Brody" and 18th Separate Army Aviation Brigade to perform combat missions. The foundation explained that forward air controllers were those who find targets for Ukrainian combat helicopters, transmit their coordinates and monitor hits.

"And the effectiveness of missiles fired by the army aviation at Russian positions and important targets largely depends on the work of the forward air controllers," emphasized the Come Back Alive Foundation. The new pickup trucks are capable of reaching off-road wherever Ukrainian helicopters have landed, delivering all the necessary supplies, and, if necessary, evacuating pilots in case of an accident. The Come Back Alive Foundation has also provided the NGU's mobile AA firing teams with off-road vehicles and special equipment needed to effectively destroy Russian drones.
More than UAH 21 million was spent on equipment and pickup trucks for the mobile AA fire teams of five brigades of the National Guard of Ukraine.
