Soldiers of the Azov Brigade, the 95th Brigade and accompanying units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, drove the Russian invaders out of a number of positions in the Lyman sector. The invaders were driven back from the settlements of Terny and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian defenders managed to gain a foothold in the liberated positions.

The press service of the 12th Special Operations Brigade "Azov" reported about this in Telegram. The military showed a video from the newly retaken positions near Terny, where Russians are storming the lost trenches in the hope of regaining them. The Azov Brigade said that since the beginning of the year, the Russian troops had been continuously attacking the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near Terny in the Liman sector.

They noted that the situation in the area had been threatening because the invaders had spared neither personnel nor equipment to capture the Ukrainian village. "As a result of a successful operation conducted by the 12th Special Operations Brigade "Azov", the 95th Air Assault Brigade and related units, the Ukrainian Defense Forces drove the enemy back from Terny and Yampolivka and consolidated their positions," the Azov Brigade press service reported.

As a result of heavy fighting, the invaders' units suffered heavy losses in soldiers and equipment. Footage of the elimination of the invaders on the outskirts of the positions recently recaptured by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Donetsk region, recorded on the action camera of a soldier of the 12th Special Operations Brigade "Azov".

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an evening summary on Saturday, June 29, that Russian invaders continued to take active steps in the Lyman sector.

The total number of combat engagements there has increased to six. The fighting is taking place, in particular, in four locations near Torske and Nevske. Previously, Ukrainian paratroopers defeated a Russian armored group near Heorhiivka in the Donetsk region and took prisoners.

The 46th Airmobile Brigade announced that they had successfully neutralized all the Russian equipment that had been deployed by the Russian command for the assault.

Three tanks, one MT-LB armored personnel carrier, and one infantry fighting vehicle remained on the battlefield.
