NATO countries agree to finance military assistance to Ukraine for 2025. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated this. During discussions on military aid to Ukraine, some NATO defense ministers did not agree to support a EUR40 billion financial package. Therefore, Stoltenberg appealed to all the countries of the organization to maintain a high level of military assistance to Ukraine.

During the NATO summit, which will take place from July 9 to 11, 2024, the Alliance plans to assure Ukraine that they will continue their military, political, and financial support. In addition, the alliance will assume responsibility for coordinating security assistance to Ukraine, which is currently led by the United States in the Ramstein format.

Such an unwavering position will provide Ukraine with all the necessary military equipment, weapons, and financial support needed to purchase a large number of weapons to counter Russian aggression. Currently, in addition to assistance from the Alliance, Ukraine also receives support through initiatives from some European countries aimed at finding, purchasing, and transferring artillery shells, air defense systems, and anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine.

Militarnyi previously reported that the NATO Secretary General said that the Alliance would welcome South Korea's decision to provide Ukraine with lethal aid.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also said that NATO would welcome any significant support from South Korea to help Ukraine in the fight against Russia, pointing out that issues like North Korean threats and the war in Ukraine show that ensuring security was not bound by the region.
