Rheinmetall officially receives order from Ukraine to build ammunition factory

The project is expected to commence in the short term, with ammunition production slated to start within 24 months.

The exact value of the contract is not specified, but Rheinmetall describes the amount as "low three-digit million euro range" (meaning over EUR100 million). The facility will produce 155 mm artillery rounds, including propellant charges. The precise production volumes are not detailed, but it will be a "six-figure number," meaning at least 100,000 rounds per year.

The order underlines the confidence in Rheinmetall's expertise and manufacturing capacities.
