The Lviv Regional Military Administration reported on this. The vehicles were donated as part of the Pickups for Peace initiative, which aims to provide civilian vehicles to Ukrainian brigades. This time, the initiative included an additional 38 vehicles that will be delivered to the 24th Mechanized Brigade, the 5th Tank Brigade, units of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 80th Air Assault Brigade, the Georgian Legion, and other combat units currently on the front line.

It should be noted that this time, volunteers from the United States and the Netherlands joined the initiative of British farmer Mark Laird. "Ukraine is going through difficult times. It is impossible to say when this war will end.
But we can say for sure that the path to our victory also depends on the support of the civilized world. When Mark Laird started this initiative, it covered about 100 pickup trucks for our defenders," Khrystyna Zamula, deputy head of the Lviv Regional Military Association, said. In total, since 2022, the Pickups for Peace initiative has delivered 400 vehicles to the Ukrainian military to help them fulfill their tasks on the front line.
"All the vehicles we receive as part of the Pickups for Peace initiative do not require any additional maintenance and are immediately ready to go to the front line. Among the SUVs delivered today are those needed for UAV pilots, evacuation of the wounded, and transportation of combat kits. Soon they will be sent to the hottest spots, including Pokrovske, where they will reinforce our soldiers," Andriy Kovch, combat training officer of the 2nd Galician Brigade, shared.

In addition to the Pickups for Peace initiative, the Ukrainian military also receives vehicles as part of the British-Ukrainian Aid charity fund for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The last such transfer took place on August 1, 2024, when volunteers handed over 20 civilian vehicles to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The vehicles were handed over to the units of the Northern Operational-Territorial Command of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Separate Commandant's Office for Security and Support, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Azov Brigade's patronage services, and the Separate Presidential Brigade for medical and evacuation needs.
The Foundation's representatives noted that residents of London donated their cars under the ULEZ program to various units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and to patronage services for humanitarian and medical purposes.
