Defense Intelligence of Ukraine claims responsibility for destruction of ammunition depot in the Voronezh region

Soldiers of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine destroyed a Russian ammunition depot in the Voronezh region. The department reported this on its official website, thus taking responsibility for the attack on the Russian military facility that took place on the night of August 24. The ammunition depot was located in the Ostrogozhsky district of the Voronezh region.
According to Ukrainian military intelligence, it belonged to the West group of troops of the Russian invasion army. The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine said that the Russian invaders had stored artillery and tank shells, as well as ammunition for small arms and surface-to-air missiles on the territory of the military facility. In total, this is more than five thousand tons of weapons.
According to intelligence, detonations continue at the damaged depot. To eliminate the aftermath, an emergency situation has been declared in three Russian settlements near the arsenal.
Local residents were evacuated and a temporary accommodation facility was set up for them. Several highways were also closed. The local authorities urged residents to remain calm and to be as cautious as possible and to comply with the requirements of the security services.

The governor of the Voronezh oblast, Alexander Gusev, said that the region had been attacked by at least five attack drones, which had allegedly been shot down. At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence officers do not report what kind of weapon was used to hit the Russian depot.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin said that on August 24, a new Ukrainian-made Palianytsia missile-drone had successfully been used for the first time. This information was also confirmed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the minister, Palianytsia is a drone and a missile at the same time, which falls under both definitions in terms of its tactical and technical characteristics.
