"These children resided in the temporarily occupied territory, and their families turned to us for help," the Save Ukraine organisation confirmed in a comment for Ukrainska Pravda.Zhyttia. The organisation revealed that children in the temporarily occupied territories had no access to high-quality healthcare. "For instance, one of the boys remained indoors for a long time as he was forbidden from going outdoors by his parents for security reasons.

He requires socialisation, communication and rehabilitation. He also has sight problems - he hasn't been visiting the ophthalmologist for the last 2.5 years, and this should be done as soon as possible," the organisation reports.

The representatives of Save Ukraine add that the emotional state of the evacuated families was poor. Specifically, the parents revealed that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine it felt like they had no life.

"It seems like it froze during this period," they said. After the evacuation, the children were anxious and at the same time glad that they were finally in Ukraine-controlled territory. "They started adapting practically right away: they realised they could freely speak Ukrainian, carry the symbols of the Ukrainian state, and even simply walk around freely.

The first thing they asked for was to taste Ukrainian ice-cream," Save Ukraine said. At the moment, the psychologists of the organisation work with the children, helping them rehabilitate, re-integrate into Ukrainian society and start a new life, taking into account the individual circumstances of each family. Background: Police will persecute the parents who hide their children from evacuation in the settlement of Myrnohrad in Donetsk Oblast.
