The video was published by a local resident. According to local residents, the strike hit the territory of the Horlivka Machine Building Plant. The plant itself was used by the Russian forces as a base for storing and repairing military equipment.

In addition, an ammunition depot was organized on the plant's territory, which the Russian invaders used to shell the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. It should be noted that this is not the first strike on the plant's territory.

On July 27, 2024, local residents reported hearing the sound of ammunition detonating as a result of the strike. In addition, a severe fire broke out on the territory and a large number of firefighting crews were dispatched to extinguish it. The Russian invaders are using the entire infrastructure of the occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions for its own military needs, including the repair of military equipment.

Militarnyi previously reported that satellite images of the aftermath of the destruction of an ammunition depot on the outskirts of Lipetsk had appeared. According to the images, the buildings that were used as warehouses for the ammunition, were completely destroyed as a result of the detonation. Two craters can also be spotted on the ground near the warehouse, which may be the result of missiles or drones hitting the site, or ammunition scattering as a result of the detonation.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed the damage to the depot on the night of August 8-9, noting that in addition to the depot, a number of other facilities near the airport were targeted.
