Videos of the fire were published by local residents on X (Twitter). According to official information, the fire was caused by the falling wreckage of attack drones that were successfully shot down in the air. In addition, it is noted that the fire had caused by the fall of the drones spread to explosive objects.

Nevertheless, local residents report hearing the sounds of detonating ammunition, and firefighters who arrived at the scene are unable to start extinguishing the massive fire due to the danger of explosions. There are also reports of evacuations of local residents from neighboring settlements located near the ammunition depot.

The ammunition depot is located at the coordinates (51.054978259993774, 38.993190722728514), a few kilometers from the center of the settlement. The fire in this area is also confirmed by NASA monitoring satellites used to record forest fires and high temperatures on the Earth's surface.

On the night of Saturday, August 24, an ammunition depot exploded in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation after strikes.

A state of emergency had been introduced in three settlements in the Ostrogozhsky district to eliminate consequences of the fire and the detonation of explosive objects.

The detonation of explosive devices is taking place at a location near the village of Nova Melnytsia, according to analysts of the CyberBoroshno group.

According to the governor, the region was attacked by at least five attack drones, which were allegedly shot down.
