Ukrainian Sofiia Naumenko becomes RS Aero sailing world champion

Ukrainian yachtswoman Sofiia Naumenko is one of the winners in the RS Aero World Championship. Source: Ukraine's National Olympic Committee in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Details: The World Championship was held from 26 to 30 August at the UK's Hayling Island Sailing Club.

Naumenko, from the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast School of Higher Sportsmanship, emerged as a world champion in the non-Olympic RS Aero sailboat class for the second year in a row.

In June 2024, Naumenko became a European champion in this sailboat class and won a gold medal at the 4th stage of the ILCA Europa Cup in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
