The Prosecutor's Office of the Sumy region reported on this. It is reported that law enforcement officers in the Sumy region have issued a notice of suspicion to two Crimeans who joined the enemy and fought against Ukraine. A 51-year-old and a 45-year-old resident of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea sided with Russia after the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula in 2014, and after the outbreak of a full-scale war, they joined the 810th Separate Guards Naval Infantry Brigade.

Under the procedural supervision of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, the traitors were served a notice of suspicion of committing high treason. Investigators of the SSU Office in the Sumy region are conducting the pre-trial investigation. According to the prosecutor's office, the traitors participated in the battles in the Kherson region.
In the summer of 2024, the Russian command transferred the suspects' units, who were then serving as riflemen, to the Kursk region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine captured them.
Russian prisoners of war from the Kursk region
Militarnyi recently reported that there are still Russian conscripts in Ukraine who were captured in the Kursk region. The number of prisoners in this institution changes occasionally - some are sent for exchange, others are transferred from hospitals after their condition stabilizes or to other institutions. At the time of the journalists' visit, there were about fifty prisoners of war here.

There are two conscripts among POWs.
The rest are junior command officers (mostly company commanders), mobilized and contract soldiers, and Chechen Akhmat battalion fighters. They were placed in cells: conscripts separately, contract soldiers and mobilized soldiers separately, and members of Akhmat separately. The prisoners emphasize that the Ukrainian captivity turned out to be unexpectedly humane.
They expected "abuse, torture, and severed heads."
