German Major General Christian Freuding stated this in an interview with RND. He also outlined that other machinery and equipment is being delivered as part of German military assistance. According to him, Germany is currently delivering military equipment and ammunition to Ukraine at a high level and will continue to support it.

This refers, in particular, to air defense systems necessary to protect Ukrainian critical infrastructure and citizens from Russian strikes.

"Just last week, we delivered two Iris-T SLM and SLS air defense systems.

And by the end of this year, we will deliver two more air defense systems," Freuding said.

He also noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to receive supplies of light armored vehicles and main battle tanks, as well as a significant amount of artillery ammunition. In August, Wolfgang Buchner, Deputy Government Spokesperson, announced that Ukraine will receive two IRIS-T SLM medium-range air defense systems, as well as two short-range IRIS-T SLS, by the end of this year.

In addition, 10 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns will arrive to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

In September, the German government increased military aid to Ukraine by about EUR400 million. The money is planned to be spent on purchasing military equipment and machinery for the Ukrainian army, including air defense equipment, drones, and protective gear.
