NATO Secretary General joins first G7 defence Meeting to discuss Ukraine

The first separate meeting of the G7 ministers focused on defence and security issues will also include NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Source: Rutte on X (Twitter) Rutte wrote that he has already arrived in Naples, Italy, for the G7 ministers' meeting on defence and security issues.

The G7 defence ministers' meeting in Naples, convened by the Italian presidency, is the first of its kind for the G7.

The meeting also includes Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

The G7 consists of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the United States, Canada, and Japan, as well as the EU as a union of states.
