The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and authorized the use of the Tarhan unmanned ground robotic system developed by Ukrainian engineers in the Defense Forces. The press service of the defense ministry reported on this. This multi-purpose platform can help the military, in particular, in transporting heavy loads.

The Ministry of Defense shared that the Tarhan is small enough to be transported in a minibus or on a car trailer. At the same time, it is noted that the domestic ground robot itself can carry up to two centers of cargo.

Depending on the needs of a particular Defense force unit, the Tarhan is capable of transporting ammunition, food, and equipment. It is noted that a silent electric motor, large rubber wheels, and design features allow this robotic platform to move across the battlefield "unnoticed for a considerable distance." In September, the Come Back Alive Foundation announced that it would purchase 64 Tarhan multipurpose logistics robots to help Ukrainian sappers as part of the We Live Here 2.0 project.

The Foundation is implementing this project in cooperation with Kyivstar with the information support of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

It is stated that the maximum speed of the Tarhan unmanned platform is 22 km per hour, with a range of 20 km. "Sappers have no room for error.

This is not a game where you can save your progress. But the Tarhan can change this rule because it risks itself to save the lives of the Support Forces soldiers," the Foundation emphasized. Innovative technologies will help reduce risks to people and speed up the demining process in the de-occupied territories.

Kyivstar, for its part, has allocated UAH 30 million to the campaign and encourages Ukrainian businesses and concerned Ukrainians to support this initiative.
