The Ukrainian General Staff said that the depot was located in the village of Oktyabrske. "Today, a strike group of the Ukrainian Navy in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine attacked a storage base for Shahed UAVs," the General Staff said. According to available information, about 400 attack drones were stored there.

"According to the results of objective control, an accurate hit on the target was recorded," the General Staff said. A secondary detonation was observed on the territory of the facility, which is confirmed by videos posted on social media.

"Destruction of the Shahed UAV storage base will significantly reduce the ability of the Russian invaders to terrorize civilians in Ukrainian cities and villages. The military work on the military targets of the invaders continues," the General Staff added. The local Russian Telegram channel "Podslushano v Eiske" reported that the fire area is about 800 square meters.

According to the operational services, the area within 500 meters of the fire is currently cordoned off.

It is possible that Ukrainian R-360 Neptune cruise missiles, which are in service with the Ukrainian Navy, were used in this attack. Back in April 2024, a representative of the Ukrainian defense ministry said that designers were working on modifying the Neptune anti-ship missile to hit ground targets.
