This was stated in a post on the battalion's official Facebook page, where they emphasized that the station was captured with a full set of equipment. The R-448 station is manufactured by the Russian company ITIS and has similar characteristics to the Auriga station, but has a distinctive feature--a collapsible antenna.

R-448 is designed to organize two high-speed communication channels in Ku- or C-bands using VSAT technology.

Communication is provided via satellites of the Express and Yamal orbital groups and via Blagovest broadband satellite communications satellites in the C-band. It is known that the station was adopted by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 2014. The total weight of the complex is 112.8 kilograms, the antenna is assembled from 6 elements.

The station receives the frequency range from 10950 to 11750 MHz and transmits from 13750 to 14500 MHz. The signal transmission rate is from 32 to 4096 kbps. Stations manufactured by ITIS have already been seized by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In particular, the seizure of the Auriga-1.2V station became known in April 2022.

In June, it was reported that operators of the Special Operations Forces had used attack drones to strike a Russian R-416GM communication station in the Kharkiv region for the first time.

The R-416GM mobile radio relay station is designed to organize a field support network and increase the efficiency of radio relay units in the field.
