The Ministry of National Defense of Romania said that experts had been inspecting the perimeter throughout the day. "The wreckage of the Russian-made drone was sent for examination in accordance with legal procedures," the ministry said. There was no damage as a result of the Russian attack drone crash, and no casualties.
Romania's Ministry of National Defense condemned Russia's attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure and has collected the drone debris for further examination. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, drone debris has been found on Romanian territory multiple times. Romania's Ministry of National Defense said that on the night of October 2, two Romanian F-16s and two Spanish F-18s had been launched to monitor the situation in connection with another Russian drone attack on Ukraine.
On September 18, Militarnyi reported that Romania had called on NATO to take action over the intrusion of the Russian Shahed drones into the alliance's airspace. Romanian Defense Minister Angel Tilvar stated that NATO should have taken "powerful, coordinated" measures in response to such incidents when Russian missiles or drones had fired at Ukraine entering the alliance's airspace.

The Russian Shahed drones have repeatedly flown into Romanian airspace and crashed there.
Because of these incidents, the Romanian Air Force has been forced to raise its fighter jets to monitor the air situation.
