Zelenskyy hints invitation of Russia to Peace Summit depends on implementation of Victory Plan

"When and if the Victory Plan is fully implemented, Russia will attend the summit, the formula will be applied, and the effectiveness, goals, and principles of the UN Charter will be entirely restored," Zelenskyy said. Earlier in October, Zelenskyy stated that preparations for the next Peace Summit will be completed by early November, but the summit date remains undetermined.
Advertisement:The President indicated that the announced Victory Plan was designed as a "bridge" to the next Peace Summit, with the goal of establishing the conditions for implementing the principles from the Peace Formula. In recent months, Ukrainian officials have repeatedly said that a Russian delegate should be invited to the upcoming Peace Summit.
Andrii Yermak, Head of the President's Office of Ukraine, stated that this action should not be taken as the start of negotiations with Russia, and advised against assuming that the second meeting would be definitive.
