Russia launches record number of drones overnight: Ukrainian air defences destroy 62 UAVs

Details: During the night, the Air Force's air surveillance units detected and tracked 145 aerial targets, specifically Shahed-type loitering munitions and unidentified drones. These were launched from the Russian cities of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Oryol, and Bryansk, as well as from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. The press service reported that as of 09:30, 62 Russian UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in Odesa, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk oblasts.

A total of 67 Russian UAVs have disappeared from radar in different Ukrainian regions, and a further 10 Russian drones have left Ukrainian airspace in the direction of Moldova, Belarus and the Russian Federation.

Odesa and other regions were impacted by the Russian attack, resulting in damage to apartment blocks and houses. Early reports indicate no fatalities. All those affected are receiving medical assistance.
