So-called president of Abkhazia resigns

Aslan Bzhania, the so-called "president" of occupied Georgian Abkhazia, has resigned but may withdraw his statement if protesters do not leave government buildings. Source: Bzhania's Telegram channel Details: The message states that "representatives of the authorities' and the opposition have reached an agreement after negotiations.

However, the report says, the protesters must leave the complex of government buildings in Abkhazia on 19 November. Otherwise, Bzhania will withdraw his resignation.

  • or the president, vice president and prime minister resign, but before that, the president appoints a compromise figure as prime minister who will act as president.
