Soldiers of the 33rd Brigade fought off an armored assault by Russian invaders near the town of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region. A Leopard 2 tank contributed to the destruction of the invaders. The brigade's press service published a video of the combat work.
The 33rd Mechanized Brigade reported that Russians attempted a massive assault on Ukrainian positions in the Kurakhove area. The invaders brought in various armored vehicles and main battle tanks. However, according to the Ukrainian defenders, the attempt was unsuccessful.
Ukrainian soldiers met the enemy with artillery strikes, as well as drones that dropped ammunition on enemy equipment. A Ukrainian Leopard 2 tank fired at an enemy tank at close range within the settlement south of Kurakhove.
The 33rd Mechanized Brigade reported that more than two dozen invaders were killed as a result of repelling the Russian assault. About 20 more were wounded. Two tanks and six armored combat vehicles of the Russian invaders were also destroyed.
Despite significant losses, the Russian invaders do not reduce the intensity of their assault operations and continue to attack in the Kurakhove sector.

The town is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as of 10:00 p.m. on November 11, 65 combat engagements were recorded in the Kurakhove sector. Russian invaders, supported by aviation, tried to advance in the areas of Illinka, Novoselydivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Voznesenka, Novodmitrivka, Maksymilianivka, Dalne, Antonivka, Katerynivka, Kreminna Balka, Sontsivka, Zorya, and Kurakhove.
Ukrainian troops in this sector killed 79 and wounded 139 invaders and neutralized four tanks, one armored combat vehicle, and one Russian anti-tank missile system.
