This was stated by the press service of the Defense Ministry. "The Ministry of Defense is working to improve the quality of nutrition for the military, as it affects not only the effectiveness of combat missions, but also the health and morale of our servicemen. Improving dry rations is an important step in this strategy," Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov stated.

The first contracts for the supply of enhanced dry rations have reportedly been signed with three suppliers. At the same time, contracts with the other two, who had previously won tenders for separate products, have not been signed.

It happened because their documents, as it turned out, did not meet the tender requirements. The Ministry of Defense details that the State Logistics Operator will soon re-announce the bidding for these lots.

Changes to dry rations in the Armed Forces

Previously, in August, it was reported that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was developing new dry rations to meet the religious, medical, and ethical needs of the military. The plans include a significant expansion of the range of dry rations, which will provide the military with a wider variety of products, including vegetable, kosher and halal sets.

The new dry rations will be available to the military from December 2024, when the process of developing and approving the range is completed.
