The 46th Brigade fought off a massive attack on Kurakhove
Paratroopers of the 46th Airmobile Brigade stopped the Russian offensive with more than a dozen armored vehicles and troops trying to break through to Kurakhove. The 46th Brigade published the video. On the morning of November 11, the Russian invaders launched a coordinated offensive on Kurakhove from several directions at once, consisting of several mechanized convoys of twelve tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
At the same time, three groups of infantry tried to cross the Vovcha River in rubber boats from the north. "The enemy moved in synchronization to disorient and disperse our defense," the paratroopers said.

The soldiers of the 46th Brigade detected the river landing party trying to land on the shore in time and intercepted the occupiers either on the water or on the shore itself with mortar fire and drone strikes. The enemy's main forces suffered their first losses on the subsoil: a convoy of two tanks and an infantry fighting vehicle lost the latter to a mine and then came under attack by FPV drones. Another convoy of armored vehicles managed to cross the open terrain with losses and enter the outskirts of the city, where it was stopped.
In particular, an enemy BMP-3 was destroyed by a drone strike. The press service of the 46th Airmobile Brigade did not report whether the enemy infantry managed to gain a foothold in the city's buildings, but judging by the losses, they were driven out.
On the same day, Russian troops severely damaged the dam of the Kurakhove reservoir, which led to flooding of the neighborhood west of the town of Kurakhove. This is likely to have implications for the logistics of Ukrainian troops in the area. "As of 4:00 p.m., the water level in the river within the Velykonovosilkivka community rose by 1.2 meters," Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said.
The Russian invaders have recently used a ZSU-23-4 Shilka self-propelled, radar-guided anti-aircraft weapon system to storm these positions.
