Ukraine to receive US$1 billion from World Bank and more funds from EU

Ukraine will attract more than US£1 billion in soft loans from the World Bank and EUR150 million from the EU. Source: Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal  Details: According to Shmyhal, this money was accumulated thanks to the governments of Japan and the United Kingdom.

In addition, another government's decision will result in an additional EUR150 million from the EU.

Quote: "Within the framework of this agreement, the money will be directed to the rebuilding of port infrastructure and rapid reconstruction projects," Shmyhal told reporters.

In addition, EUR65 million will be used to fund a free nutrition programme for elementary school students in 2025.
