Air Force has deployed A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft to strike Assad's forces on the left bank of the Euphrates. Turkish analysts from the Conflict group posted a video on X showing the use of A-10s near the city of Deir ez-Zor. Taking advantage of the difficult situation for Assad's army in Aleppo, Kurdish units from the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) decided to drive the Assadists out of a small bridgehead on the Euphrates.

These attack aircraft are capable of striking Assad's military using airborne, adjusted bombs, unguided aerial projectiles, and other weapons. The involvement of American A-10 attack aircraft was necessary to destroy the defensive positions of Assad's troops on the bridgehead.

NOELREPORTS reported that the SDF took control of the Hasham enclave, capturing seven villages near Deir ez-Zor, which the Assadites previously held.

The SDF, with the support of the United States, attacked Assad's army and pro-Iranian groups in the villages of Murrat, Hasham, Mazloum, Tabiyeh, Husseiniyeh, Salihiyeh, and Hatla in Deir Ezzor early in the morning. Back in 2017, Assad's forces, with the support of Russian troops and mercenaries, managed to cross the Euphrates downstream of Deir ez-Zor. This was accomplished since the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, which previously controlled these territories, was significantly weakened.

In 2018, the United States started to actively strike Assad's and Russian forces in the area. In particular, in February 2018, the Syrian military, together with the Wagnerites, tried to approach the Conoco gas processing plant and were defeated by US airstrikes.

The US military destroyed the equipment of the Assad forces and PMC Wagner in Deir ez-Zour.

The Syrian Democratic Forces may try to build on their success in the area as the Assad regime weakens.
