Belarus Takes Steps to Maintain S-400 Systems with Russian Partnership

This is reported by the monitoring project Belaruski Gayun. It is reported that on December 2, a delegation from the Russian Almaz-Antey corporation visited the 2566th Borisov Electronic Weapons Repair Plant. During the visit, the parties signed a contract for training specialists under the program "Maintenance and repair of 98Zh6 SAMs".

The training will allow Belarusian specialists to carry out maintenance and repair of "key components" of the S-400 system.

Belaruski Gayun notes that the 2566th Plant also repairs S-300 air defense systems for the needs of the Belarusian Armed Forces. Back in May 2023, a representative of the Almaz-Antey corporation stated that the Russian air defense systems supplied to the Belarusian Armed Forces would be repaired in Borisov. To achieve this, the plant had to be outfitted with the necessary equipment.

The Belarusian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly stated that Russia has transferred to Belarus a regimental set of S-400, i.e., two anti-aircraft missile divisions. It is known that the 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade received one division of S-400 systems. The other likely went to the 377th Air Defense Missile Regiment.

Previously, on November 21, Militarny reported that the Armed Forces of Belarus had received a new battery of Russian Tor-M2K air defense systems.

The Belarusian military reported that the purchased battery was modified based on the experience of the war against Ukraine, in particular, the Tor-M2Ks were adapted to intercept small drones. This is the seventh battery in the Armed Forces of Belarus.

Of these, five are in service with the 1146th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment (military unit 97106), and 2 more are in the 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade (military unit 30151).
