This will bring the total number of trained soldiers to 75,000. This was stated by the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, according to European Pravda. "By the end of winter, the EU will train 75 thousand Ukrainian soldiers.
This month, the EU has provided Ukraine with EUR4.2 billion of budget support, and from January we will provide 1.5 billion per month," she said. Kallas also emphasized that Ukraine needs more assistance, as stated by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha at a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

EUMAM
The EUMAM Ukraine mission was launched on October 17, 2022, with an initial mandate of two years, and is funded by the European Peace Fund.
It is designed to help train Ukrainian military personnel. At the beginning of its existence, it was about training 15,000 soldiers. But over time, this number increased.
So in August 2024, the EU Defense Ministerial Council once again agreed to increase the number of Ukrainian military personnel to be trained in the EU by another 15,000. At the time, it was assumed that this would bring the total number of trained soldiers to 75,000. In October 2024, the European Council extended the training mission for the Ukrainian military for another 2 years, until November 15, 2026.

Within the framework of this mission, training takes place mainly in Poland and Germany, but also in other countries.
The training content is regularly updated and adapted to the needs of the Ukrainian military.
In particular, Ukrainian soldiers are trained in combat operations, as well as in the use and maintenance of military equipment provided to the Defense Forces by Western partners.
