Incredible love story: Ukrainian veteran couple who met during rehabilitation marries in Kyiv

Veterans Oleksii and Anastasiia met during rehabilitation at Superhumans less than a year ago. Oleksii was mastering a thigh prosthesis, while Anastasiia was learning to walk again after losing her lower leg. We are deeply moved that Superhumans not only restores lost abilities but also creates new families."
Olha Rudnieva, the head of the clinic, posted a video on her page showing the couple dancing at their wedding.

She shared that a few months before she turned 24, she had joined the military without hesitation. She has a six-year-old son, Yarema, who stayed with her parents during her service. While on duty, Anastasiia suffered injuries that led to the amputation of her lower leg.
She admitted that during the battle, she was ready to die, believing her chances of survival were slim. However, during her rehabilitation at the Superhumans center, Anastasiia met Oleksii, a serviceman who had also undergone a leg amputation due to injuries. "We met here, and that's where our story began," Oleksii shared.
In May 2024, the couple got engaged.
