The Canadian company Roshel has developed an ambulance version of the Senator armored vehicle, which is being supplied to Ukraine in hundreds. Roman Shymonov, the company's CEO, stated that the company is working on new versions of Senator Medical Evacuation and Captain. "These vehicles demonstrate our ability to meet the diverse needs of our customers," Shymonov explained.

The ambulance version has an additional rear door to help speed up the evacuation of the wounded. The armored vehicle's interior is adapted to medical personnel's needs. These ambulances can usually carry up to four lying wounded.

The Senator Medical Evacuation is constructed on a Ford F-550 chassis. The vehicle has an armored body and glass that can withstand shots from large-caliber weapons and debris. The steel body of the Senators is also blast-proof and can withstand a grenade or mine, which increases the chances of survival for the wounded.

The vehicle is equipped with a system that can counteract chemical, biological, and radiological attacks by generating clean air inside a sealed cabin. Ukraine also produces similar medical evacuation armored vehicles. Recently, it was reported that the fleet of the National Guard's combat brigades will be replenished with new domestic Novator-2 armored vehicles in the ambulance configuration.

In July, the Ministry of Defense codified the Kozak-5MED, a domestically produced medical armored vehicle.
