Russian ammunition depot explodes in Yenakiyevo

Explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Yenakiyevo in the Donetsk region. On social media, eyewitnesses report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a Russian ammunition depot. Detonations continue at the facility of the Russian invaders, as evidenced by the videos published by local residents.

The evacuation of the population was announced in the area due to the threat of detonating ammunition fragments. Residents of the neighboring areas are also advised to refrain from approaching windows due to the possible danger of a second strike. Local social media channels report that it was an ammunition depot of the invading Russian army, located in the private sector near a military training ground. According to eyewitnesses, the warehouse could have contained a significant amount of different ammunition, so they assumed that the explosions would continue for a long time.

Social media also suggests that the Russian military facility was struck by several precision-guided missiles from the American HIMARS missile system. It is alleged that their impact caused a powerful explosion with devastating consequences.

However, there is no confirmation of this information. The destruction of Russian ammunition depots, in particular on the temporarily occupied territory, is a very important task for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This will reduce the amount of firepower on Ukrainian positions.

The invaders use the city as one of the logistics centers to deploy equipment and personnel and train them in the surrounding areas.

Recently, the Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized Russian Pion and Grad artillery systems in the Toretsk sector of the Donetsk region.
