Ukraine Approves Foreign Intelligence Service Symbols

The Office of the President of Ukraine stated that the decree comes into force on the day of its publication. As stated in the decree, the emblem of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine is a graphite-gray straight equilateral cross with divergent sides, bordered by two silver bars. In the center of the cross there is a blue round medallion with the image of the "Sign of the Princely State of Volodymyr the Great."

The medallion has two silver rods, between which, on a graphite-gray background, is the inscription "Omnia vincit veritas," meaning "Truth conquers all," and a decorative dot. Also between the sides of the cross are three crossed arrows with their points up and a key with its beard down.

Part of the key is stylized as a QR code of the official website of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. The images of the "Sign of the Princely State of Volodymyr the Great," arrows, key, as well as the letters of the inscription and the dot, are golden.

The flag

As for the flag of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, it is a rectangular cloth of graphite gray color with a width-to-length ratio of 2:3.

In the upper left quarter of the flag, there are two equal horizontal stripes of blue and yellow. In the center of the free edge of the flag is the emblem of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. The height of the emblem is 2/3 of the width of the flag.

Both sides of the flag are mirror-identical.

This special state body collects, analyzes and evaluates information from abroad necessary to ensure Ukraine's national security.

Established in 2004, the Foreign Intelligence Service has become an important tool in the struggle to protect state interests in the international arena.

In March, President Volodymyr Zelensky introduced the new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Oleh Ivashchenko.
