Ukraine's General Staff: Russians conduct assault operations and deploy sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Kurakhove

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported that Russian forces are conducting active assaults on the southeastern outskirts of Kurakhove in Donetsk Oblast, attempting to seize a road junction and a residential block in the city while also infiltrating with sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs). Determined to capture Kurakhove at any cost, the enemy is conducting active assaults on the city's southeastern outskirts, aiming to seize a road junction and a residential block in its southern part.

To achieve these goals and take control of critical administrative and industrial facilities in the city center, the enemy is attempting to infiltrate sabotage and reconnaissance groups disguised as civilians." Details: To prevent such actions, Ukrainian defence forces are conducting counter-sabotage measures. The General Staff also noted that alongside ground offensives, Russia is actively conducting special operations in the media environment.

Maintain information hygiene and trust official sources."  Background: On the evening of 14 December, the DeepState resource reported that Russian forces continued to advance into Kurakhove, gradually occupying the central part of the city.
