Footage from the Wild Division video In the Kursk oblast, Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed a rare Russian LSTS-1944 Sarmat-3 armored vehicle. The combat mission was carried out by the Wild Division unit of the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade.
The Sarmat-3 is the latest version of the eponymous line of military vehicles manufactured by Technika. Presumably, the vehicle was used by Russian paratroopers.
The Sarmat-3 armored vehicle is designed to be used by special forces of the Russian Airborne Forces and is available in light unarmored and armored versions. The family of these vehicles was created in the 2010s, and work on the Sarmat-3 project was completed only in 2016-2017.
