TASS reported on this. The attack on the propagandists' car was executed while they were traveling on the Donetsk-Horlivka highway, killing one of them. This was Alexander Martemianov, a freelance correspondent for the Russian newspaper Izvestia, who had been covering events in Donbas for about 10 years and creating fake news stories.

In addition to him, four other propagandists were in the car at the time of the attack. Two of them were reported by the Russian news outlet RIA Novosti, and two others by the media Bloknot. According to RIA Novosti, Martemianov was in the car with the other propagandists because he had problems with his own transportation.
At the time of movement, the strike fell on the spot where he was sitting. Four other people, including Maksim Romanenko of RIA Novosti and Mikhail Kevkhiev, sustained injuries of varying severity.

Yeliseyev has been involved in the war against Ukraine since the fall of 2022. He served as a liaison officer in a unit of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic in the Kharkiv sector. Militarnyi previously reported that in August 2024, Russian war correspondent Yevgenii Poddubny was seriously injured in his car after being hit by a drone strike.
According to Russian Telegram channels, the journalist survived only because he fell out of the car a few seconds before the FPV drone hit, after which the car caught fire.
