On January 31, 2025, it became known that Finland had provided Ukraine with the 27th military aid package worth EUR200 million. Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen announced this on his page on the social network X. On January 22, 2025, the future aid package was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi following a meeting with President of Finland Alexander Stubb.

"We have decided on the 27th package of military assistance to Ukraine. We will provide a powerful package worth almost EUR200 million, drawn up in close cooperation with the Ukrainians," the head of the Finnish Defence Ministry wrote in X. Aside from the fact that the package was filled in coordination with Ukraine, the Finnish side traditionally did not provide any other details.

The total value of military assistance provided by Finland to Ukraine has already reached EUR2.5 billion. "The Nordic countries share the opinion that support for Ukraine in this acute situation should be further strengthened. We are talking about the right of an independent nation to exist and protect human lives," added Antti Hakkinen.

What Finland has already transferred to Ukraine

As noted above, Finland does not disclose the contents of its aid packages, and only the OSINT community knows about some of the weapons provided to Ukraine.

For example, there are reports of Sisu XA-180 armored personnel carriers manufactured by the Finnish company Sisu, which were first spotted on the battlefield in Ukraine in mid-September 2022. Finland has transferred or continues to transfer weapons manufactured by the USSR or Russia or purchased from third countries.
