This was reported by the Russian publication Media Deck. The ceremony of accepting the vessel into the Russian Navy took place on December 27 at the Sevmash plant. It became the fourth vessel of this design and became part of the 11th Submarine Division of the Northern Fleet.

The ship was commissioned in August 2016. The submarine left the slipway at the end of November 2023, and operational sea tests began in June 2024.

During the ceremony, Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Alexander Moiseev noted that the construction of a series of submarines of that design would continue.

According to him, the fleet will soon include four more Yasen-M submarines: Perm, Ulyanovsk, Voronezh, and Vladivostok. Boats of this type can be equipped with Oniks anti-ship cruise missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and 533-mm torpedoes. In the future, vessels of this class are to be modernized to use Zircon hypersonic missiles.

The nuclear propulsion system allows the vessel to reach speeds of up to 16 knots above water and move at speeds of 28 to 31 knots underwater. The maximum submergence depth is 480 meters. With a length of 130 meters and a width of 13 meters, the underwater displacement of this submarine is 13.8 thousand tons.

Its crew consists of 90 people. The official acceptance ceremony for the third Yasen-M class submarine took place in December 2023. At that time, the ship was transferred to the 10th Submarine Division of the Pacific Fleet.

The Krasnoyarsk submarine itself was commissioned in 2014 and launched in July 2021, after which factory tests began.
