The Ukrainian company Dron ZP has developed a turret that is capable of shooting down enemy drones. Recently, soldiers of the unmanned systems battalion of the 15th National Guard Brigade participated in testing this weapon. The system is equipped with a 12.7-caliber machine gun and a night vision device.
According to the National Guard, "neural network elements are used to control the system."
The system is controlled by a joystick with a monitor. It is stated that the turret tests were successful at the test site. "Soon, after the necessary improvements, such systems could play a role in the defense lines of Ukrainian defenders," the National Guard added.

The turret itself is immobile, as it is mounted on a truck trailer that must be transported to its position by road. The company is also developing mobile ground drones that can carry turrets or help in evacuation. Last year, volunteers raised UAH 293,000 to buy a ground platform from Dron ZP for the military.

In Ukraine, various ground-based drones have been operating on the front lines for several years to transport weapons and explosives, remotely mine and clear mines, and evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
The main purpose of these devices was to minimize the involvement of Ukrainian forces on the battlefield, helping to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
