In Volgograd, Russia, drones attacked an oil refinery, causing a fire. This was reported by the governor of the region, as well as a number of Ukrainian and Russian telegram channels. According to local residents, the drone attack took place around four in the morning local time.

Shortly before that, an air alert was announced in the Volgograd region due to the threat of a UAV attack. The explosions in the southern end of Volgograd were reported, in particular, by members of a local group in a Russian social network. One of the users specified that she had been in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the city, where the LUKOIL Volgogradneftepererabotka refinery is located.

At night, the Supernova+ Telegram channel published several videos with the sound of a drone flying overhead and an explosion filmed by a local resident. In one video, the man gives his exact address - this house is located one and a half kilometers from the border of the large territory of the oil refinery.

Later, the governor of the Volgograd region of Russia, Andrei Bocharov, said that the drone's wreckage had allegedly caused a fire at the refinery, without specifying the name of the enterprise or its exact location. "An attack by eight UAVs was repelled in the Volgograd region.

The wreckage of one of the UAVs caused a fire on the territory of the refinery, which was promptly extinguished," Bocharov said.
