The press service of the defense ministry reported on this. The universal unmanned platform Spextr is designed to perform a wide range of tasks in combat conditions. It is able to overcome off-road conditions and difficult terrain.

Remotely controlled robots protect and facilitate the work of the military where it is important to reduce risks to humans, representatives of the Ministry of Defense noted. Depending on the configuration and attachments, Spextr can perform surveillance tasks, transport ammunition, logistics, etc. In a separate configuration, they can perform tasks to engage the enemy.

The Ministry of Defense noted that Spextr are compact in size, making them easy to transport in the back of a minibus or pickup truck. These unmanned ground platforms are equipped with a silent electric motor. Their batteries last for several hours of continuous operation.

Last September, the developers discussed with Militarnyi the Spextr robotic system at the demo day of companies that are members of the IRON Lviv Tech Cluster: The Ministry of Defense has also recently codified and authorized the use of the Gimli series of unmanned ground vehicles.
