Ukrainian ZEUS and HADES Drones Approved for Use by Armed Forces

This was reported by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment. Maneuverable FPV copters of these systems have frames of different sizes. Due to engine tuning and an advanced control system, they can catch up with and destroy enemy vehicles moving at high speed.

They are also capable of engaging enemy field fortifications, armored vehicles and manpower.

"They are less susceptible to enemy jamming," the Ukrainian Defense Ministry stated. FPV drones are a type of drone controlled using the "first-person view" function (the English acronym stands for First Person View). This is a function of transmitting real-time video from a camera installed in the front of the UAV.

The operator controls the drone with a remote control and sees the area around the drone in real time with the help of special glasses, as if he were sitting inside the drone itself, just like a pilot. The military uses FPV drones as kamikazes with various combat units, as well as to drop ammunition on the enemy, after which the drone returns.

Such drones are actively used during Russia's war against Ukraine.

In the trained hands of FPV drones, kamikaze drones are precision weapons capable of destroying various armored vehicles and killing enemy personnel.
