The defense ministry's press service announced this. The aircraft are available in several sizes and can reach speeds of up to 150 kilometers per hour. It is stated that these Ukrainian-made FPV drones have an advanced control system that provides reliable communication between the operator and the "bird" in the conditions of enemy electronic warfare (EW).
NORD drones have carbon fiber frames and can fly with a payload of several kilograms.

This year, the Ministry of Defense plans to allocate more than UAH 44 billion to purchase FPV drones, including fiber optic drones, for the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces at the front. "While last year the main financial resource was allocated for the purchase of long-range deep strike drones, this year, over UAH 44 billion is planned to purchase FPV drones, including fiber-optic models," Hlib Kanevsky, Director of the Defense Ministry's Procurement Policy Department, said.
The Ministry of Defense launched a new model of providing the Ukrainian Defense Forces with drones to speed up supplies to the front and support domestic producers. In early February, First Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Havryliuk said that in 2025, the level of supply of unmanned systems to the Ukrainian army would increase to about 200,000 per month. He emphasized that this refers not only to FPV drones but also to other types of drones.
